Hyperspace Hangout

34. Hyperspace Hangout

You are zooming randomly from star to star (see "Galactic Gridlock") when suddenly a buzzer sounds, a siren goes off, and the lights in your space capsule begin flashing. Your computer display shows a line in a complicated, knotted pattern.

You feel a little scared but excited as you recall Eight's warning. "If your route crosses over and through itself to form a knot, you will enter a strange new world."

"Entering hyperspace," a voice blares from your radio speaker.

A large cube appears on your screen, with a black hole in each of its sides. You click on one of the black holes, and it grows so large on the screen that you can see the inside of the cube. Strangely, it looks just like the inside of your space capsule!

Turning from the screen, you gaze around the room—your space capsule—and realize that its shape is a perfect cube. Each wall even has a black hole, and so do the ceiling and the floor!

Anita goes over to the hole on the left and steps through. The instant she exits, she reappears through the hole on the wall to your right.

Bill bends over to examine the hole in the floor. When he dangles his left leg down through the hole, you see his left foot dangling down from the ceiling.

Where in the universe are you?
